You’ve seen the contrast: the difference between a young person who floats through life, and one who embraces life for the glory of God. Between being activity-driven and purpose-driven. Between choosing a vocation based on calling or based on fear, greed, or pride. Between a young person defined by mediocrity, and a young person of excellence! A life on purpose establishes the difference between a someone that will simply exist in this world and someone that has what it takes to change the world and impact the next!
Young people see the injustices in the world and are deeply in tune inconsistencies preventing a solutions based mindset. They’re trying to figure out where they fit, what to do, and how to do it. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to purpose. It’s personal… just like each person.
“Where there is no vision, the people perish…” —Proverbs 29:18
People who understand their God-given purpose in life stand apart from the crowd! They are able to evaluate opportunities and wisely consider how today’s choices will affect tomorrow in light of what God is calling them to do.
As you invest the time to discern who you are called to be and what you have been created to accomplish (and why), you will then be able to organize your life to faithfully carry out the unique life purpose that God reveals. Go change the world!
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” —Psalm 16:11
